The inherent connection to the mysteries of life-giving earth that women possess is that of intuition. Through this connection, thousands of generations of women have led one another through the path of life, each journey uniquely their own.

Throughout this body of work, I utilize a wide range of printmaking techniques, each chosen for the distinctive qualities of process and outcome they lend to the particular piece.

The inherent connection to the mysteries of life-giving earth that women possess is that of intuition. Through this connection, thousands of generations of women have led one another through the path of life, each journey uniquely their own. Whether they are those of our mothers, grandmothers, or even the spirits of our ancestors, I believe the journeys and wisdom of these women still exist, deep within our collective subconscious. Theirs is the knowledge upon which we call, seeking their wisdom on how to best continue our path. This series of work focuses on seeking guidance by referencing our subconscious connection to these ancient women through the use of spiritual imagery and symbolism.

Throughout this body of work, I utilize a wide range of printmaking techniques, each chosen for the distinctive qualities of process and outcome they lend to the particular piece. Relief printing being one of the oldest forms of printmaking, as well as harkening back to my interest in the pattern-rich artisanal metal-works of Mexico, enhances the connection to antiquity of the subjects and symbols of my work.
