River Gallery - 20 Years

August 2012 is River Gallery's 20th anniversary! For this exhibit we have one of our original 1992 featured artists, Mary Lynn Portera. Also, painter Eric Fitzpatrick will show work, exploring reconnection, renewal, and music. Mr. Fitzpatrick uses emotive colors and energetic brushstrokes to create harmonious musical portraits. Using quick live studies as a starting point, he then returns to his studio to recapture the heartfelt excitement of the music in his paintings. Sculptor Mary Lynn Portera incorporates found objects and recycled materials into her clay forms. Her interests in finding new uses for old materials as well as working with substances that are of the earth drive her to combine these passions into textured and reborn sculptures. River Gallery is extremely proud to have been a part of the growing community in the arts over the last 20 years.
