Born in London England, Iantha Newton now resides in Chattanooga. With her husband, another local artist, Iantha co-founded SPLASH, a youth arts workshop which provides free art classes to local adolescents.

One of the main focuses of my work has been the classical-styled landscape rendered in colors found in nature subdued with umber browns and burnt siennas to reveal the calm and serenity of the natural scene.   

I have more recently utilized an explosively vibrant palette producing paintings in a more contemporary application, or referencing the styles of impressionism. 

This exploration of color, light and brushstroke has been a wonderful journey for me and, I am looking forward to sharing my artwork.
